The Good: The PSB Alpha Studio Theater System is a modestly sized, audiophile-quality, 5.1-speaker satellite/subwoofer surround system. Anchored by a potent yet refined 150-watt powered 10-inch subwoofer, the speakers produce exceptionally clean and clear sound for DVDs and CDs.
The Bad: As good as these speakers are, their sound can't fill large rooms. And their rear bass ports may limit placement options.
The Bottom Line: PSB's entry-level Alpha Studio Theater System is a winning compromise between relatively small size and exceptional sound quality at an affordable price.
