    CNET Review

    September 30, 2008

The Good: First battery-powered coupon-eligible DTV converter box; good reception and video quality; compact design; analog pass-through.

The Bad: Limited EPG; remote buttons are small; composite AV cable not included.

The Bottom Line: The Winegard RCDT09A is the first DTV converter box that can be powered by batteries, and it's a great choice for those who want to use their analog portable TVs after the DTV transition.
