The Good: The 2009 Dodge Nitro R/T's UConnect receiver is a gem, featuring hard-drive-based navigation with voice command and space for ripping music files from CDs and USB devices. Satellite radio, Bluetooth hands-free, and a thumping Infinity audio system round out a well-featured cabin tech package.
The Bad: The cabin is awash with cheap hard plastics. Handling and power delivery are uninspiring, and fuel economy is abysmal. Oddball steering-wheel controls mean you have to reach for the voice-command button.
