    CNET Review

    June 9, 2008

The Good: The HTC Touch Dual features a slide-out 20-key QWERTY keyboard. It's also the first smartphone to ship with Windows Mobile 6.1 in the States and supports HSDPA and Bluetooth 2.0.

The Bad: The Touch Dual lacks Wi-Fi and GPS. There's no standard audio jack, and it's pricey.

The Bottom Line: The HTC Touch Dual offers more functionality and ease of use with the addition of Windows Mobile 6.1 and a tactile keyboard to make it one of the most compact and powerful touch-screen smartphones, but we'd still like to see the inclusion of Wi-Fi or GPS, especially for the price.

Review Summary: The unlocked HTC Touch Dual pairs the company's TouchFLO shell with enough horsepower to run Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, but it's not particularly compelling otherwise.

Review Summary: In the meantime, some good news: this GSM HTC Touch Dual comes unlocked, so you aren't held hostage by any one carrier. The bad news: That freedom comes at a high price - £399 to be precise. Fans of the BlackBerry Pearl's tiny keypad might consider this
