    CNET Review

    October 29, 2008

The Good: The engine in the 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt SS uses advanced tech to achieve excellent power and torque, while good suspension tuning helps the car handle the turns. A USB port on the stereo works with an iPod or a USB thumbdrive, and the Pioneer audio system delivers solid bass.

The Bad: This not-particularly-stylish car doesn't have an in-cabin navigation system. Interior materials are appropriate for a car costing a few thousand dollars less.

The Bottom Line: The 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt SS delivers an excellent sport-driving experience, but can work as an economy commuter when driven more carefully, with the added pleasure of full iPod connectivity.
