    CNET Review

    June 22, 2006

The Good: Starz Vongo has a large and growing selection of titles; more movies added weekly; excellent video quality; compatible with Portable Media Center 2.0 devices; some movies available with DVD-like bonus materials; reasonable $10-per-month subscription fee.

The Bad: Movies are mostly cut-rate, and a handful of the better titles are restricted to pay-per-view; only one portable player is compatible (so far), and we had trouble getting it to work; downloads can be slow.

The Bottom Line: We love the idea of Starz Vongo and think $10 per month is a fair price for all-you-can-watch movies, but the service needs a better selection of movies and improved compatibility with portable devices.
