Reviews of the Acoustic Research HDP100 HDMI Powerlink System
-
CNET Review
The Good: Allows HDMI audio and video signals to travel over powerlines without additional wiring; compatible with 1080p, 720p, and 480p video; transmits IR signals to allow control of hidden components; easy setup; includes HDMI cable and mounting hardware.
The Bad: Lower video quality than standard HDMI cable connections; not designed to go between rooms; doesn't work with 1080i sources.
The Bottom Line: Its picture quality won't please videophiles, but the Acoustic Research HDP100's HDMI-over-powerline system works well for casual viewers who want to save some money over in-wall installations.
Manufacturer: Audiovox Corporation.
Part number: HDP100
