    The Good: Built-in media card slots and USB port; wireless functionality is easy to install; low print costs.

    The Bad: Slow text prints; print and scan quality could use overall improvement, particularly photo prints; wireless costs an additional $50.

    The Bottom Line: The Lexmark X3550 is a middle-of-the-road multifunction printer with an affordable starting price and reasonable ink refill costs. Photo prints leave something to be desired, but it performs the rest of its tasks acceptably well.

    Review Summary: There is of course some OCR software in the package and this worked well providing the original page was not creased or crumpled, however always check any output as even the best OCR package is only 99% accurate
