    CNET Review

    September 29, 2008

The Good: The 2009 Mazda Mazda5 Grand Touring offers fantastic handling for what is essentially a small minivan. The third-row seats are easily accessible, with a fair amount of leg and headroom for a small adult or teenager.

The Bad: Hard plastics and cheap interior materials severely lower the perceived value of the vehicle. There's no rear-seat entertainment option available. The engine seems underpowered for a vehicle of this size.

The Bottom Line: The 2009 Mazda Mazda5 Grand Touring is an interesting choice for a budding family, primarily because there's nothing that directly compares to it on the market. Mazda will need to improve the interior quality if the Mazda5 is to really feel like a Grand Tourer.

Storage Virtualization

  • In virtual environments, storage matters. It influences everything from application availability and disaster readiness to power consumption and TCO. Bottom line: Don’t defeat the purpose of your consolidation by skimping on storage.
