Reviews of the Norton Internet Security 2002

  • 8.0

    CNET Review

    October 2, 2001

The Good: Simple setup; effectively hides your PC from hackers and automatically protects you against intruders' attacks.

The Bad: Pricey, compared to firewall-only competitors; doesn't work with Windows 95; makes you re-create custom firewall rules when you upgrade.

The Bottom Line: We love the firewall and antivirus combo, but if all you want is a way to keep hackers at bay, Norton Internet Security costs too much. Get it if you need antivirus protection, too; otherwise, download ZoneAlarm.
