The Good: The JVC TH-C30 is a budget-priced system with a compact integrated A/V receiver/DVD changer and tiny but powerful two-way satellites. The omnidirectional satellites create wonderfully diffuse surround effects, and the potent powered subwoofer goes deeper than most home-theater-in-a-box subs. The handy front-panel-mounted USB input is a unique addition for a system in this price class.
The Bad: This system has a connectivity suite befitting its budget status, and its sound quality won't satisfy serious music lovers.
The Bottom Line: Though it doesn't sound great on music, JVC's seriously affordable and compact home theater in a box scores with ample features and solid performance.
