The Good: Streams audio from networked PCs; streams and copies music from USB-connected drives and certain MP3 players; expandable via the addition of an optional internal hard drive; plays DRM-protected WMAs; plays Live365 Internet radio service; includes built-in 802.11g wireless networking; analog and digital audio outputs.
The Bad: Not available with preinstalled hard drive; not compatible with Rhapsody on-demand music streaming service; no compatibility with iPod; can't stream music to other UPnP client devices; poor compatibility with USB devices.
The Bottom Line: Capable of playing tracks from networked PCs, the Internet, USB-connected drives, certain MP3 players, and an optional internal hard drive, the D-Link DSM-120 is the most versatile digital audio receiver in its price range.
