    CNET Review

    September 8, 2008

The Good: With performance suspension parts, the 2009 Mazda RX-8 R3 offers excellent handling and responsive steering. Recaro seats and a short shifter for its six-speed manual give it a sports car feel.

The Bad: Acceleration is lacking and fuel economy is bad. Navigation isn't available with the R3 trim.

The Bottom Line: With a unique and sporty design, the 2009 Mazda RX-8 R3 will turn heads, but it doesn't quite live up to its looks, and Mazda left out some key tech elements.
