The Good: The 2008 Volvo offers dynamic styling, practical cargo room, and a well-thought-out cabin with a decent standard audio system. Its list of available entertainment and safety tech options, which include adaptive cruise control and a coffee-break reminder system, is impressive.
The Bad: On such a safety-focused car, the absence of Bluetooth hands-free calling is conspicuous. The transmission's Adaptive Shift Logic can behave illogically at times.
The Bottom Line: The redesigned 2008 Volvo V70 is a stylish grocery getter with plenty of get-up-and-go. Its entertainment and active safety tech options are impressive, but its lack of Bluetooth hands-free calling is a disappointment.
