    CNET Review

    May 8, 2006

The Good: AOL Music Now makes it simple to listen to your favorite artists or playlists from any Windows PC, and it learns your tastes over time and creates personalized playlists. The browser-based interface means no software to download for basic operation.

The Bad: AOL Music Now's interface is bland, and its limited editorial content makes it hard to discover new music. The radio stations are not grouped together on a common page, and there's no Mac version, no gift-certificate or allowance options, no parental controls, no audiobooks, and no podcasts. Finally, the pricing isn't competitive.

The Bottom Line: AOL Music Now, currently in preview, offers great new features for those who use multiple PCs but still needs to work on the basics.
