- Apple iPhone 3G (16GB, black) ups the ante
The iPhone 3G delivers on its promises by adding critical features and sharper performance. The iTunes Apps Store is pretty amazing, and the 3G support is more than welcome. We still have a few gripes, but the iPhone 3G a big improvement over the original model.

- Dell Inspiron 1525 is a midsize dream The Dell Inspiron 1525-121B is the textbook example of a midsize, mainstream laptop. Switching to slower CPU knocks a little off the performance, but also takes $80 off the price and adds battery life, compared with Dell's more mainstream configurations.

- Iomega eGo Camo portable hard drive (250GB, camo) brings satisfaction The eGo Camo portable hard drive is Iomega's first attempt at a "ruggedized" drive--it can withstand a beating thanks to its Power Grip band. Despite it lacking a few accessories, you'll be satisfied with its competitive price and quick transfer speeds.

- Radius Atomic Strap Earbuds (blue) brings the bass out The Radius Atomic Strap Earbuds are a solid option for 3G iPod Nano owners who like lots of bass and don't want to break the bank to get it. They're not the most versatile earphones, though.

- Canon FS100 (garnet wine) is all about budget
Convenient, well-designed camcorders that look pricier than they are, models in the Canon FS series--FS11, FS10, and FS100--nevertheless deliver typical budget video in line with their budget price tags.

- RCA Small Wonder EZ200 drawbacks outweigh advantages RCA's Small Wonder Pocket EZ205 has some significant advantages over its competitors--but it has a lot more drawbacks.

- BlueAnt Supertooth 3 an excellent choice The BlueAnt Wireless Supertooth 3 is an excellent choice for a portable car speakerphone, especially since it will read out incoming caller ID so you can keep your eyes on the road.

- HP TouchSmart IQ506 has its high points HP's new-and-improved TouchSmart all-in-one PC refines the touch-based concept it introduced last year. Faster all-in-ones, and Apple's iPhone, make the TouchSmart seem a bit behind the times, but the convenient software and its kitchen-friendly design offer functionality that's unavailable elsewhere.

Nokia kicks off aggressive recycling program, Nokia Chat, and E71 further usage thoughts
Nokia must have peeked in my desk drawer recently as they recently issued a press release stating that only 3% of the people recycle their mobile phones and have lots lying around at home they no longer use. Matthew Miller

Are all-in-one desktops a decent deal?
Averatec, the O.C.'s other computer maker after Gateway, has released a new all-in-one desktop. The design doesn't break any new ground in this category, but it is simple, compact and reasonably attractive. John Morris
