The mystery of Comet Cursor: How it got on my PC (yours too)

A program turned up in my PC, and I had no idea how it got there. It was called Comet Cursor. After reading that it was 'spyware' I decided to check it out. I did, and now I can tell you how it got there, if it's on your machine, what it does, and whether it really is 'spyware.' (Pssst, it's not.)
