The most popular productivity apps for Palm
By Jason Parker: Contributing Editor, Downloads

Back in August I told you about the most popular business apps for the Pocket PC devices. So as not to leave out Palm users, today I want to do the same for that handheld platform. After all, I happen to be a Palm user myself.

These productivity apps are the ones that were downloaded the most by ZDNet Downloads users. I often end up going with the popular apps, simply because they tend to be among the best. I would recommend you use this strategy, too.

Quik Budget, a budget-tracking app, comes in third on our list. This software lets you create "wallets" that show the total amount of money you have available at a given time. From there, you spend from your wallet while the program calculates transactions for you, including recurring deposits. (Shareware/Palm)

SmartList To Go lets you create priority lists and view forms and databases on your Palm. Coming in at second place, this all-in-one app tracks business expenses, meeting times, and just about anything else on your Palm with its versatile database-like structure. (Shareware/Palm)

FireViewer Suite, the number one app in this category, displays maps, drawings, schematics, and any other type of image or written information. This software offers a full range of multimedia capabilities along with support for text and viewing any type of technical documentation. (Shareware/Palm)

These apps are popular for a reason. Try them out, and see why so many other people have downloaded them.
