Take your spreadsheets with you--on your PDA

Even though I work five days a week, I can't always get everything done at the office. Fortunately, there's software that makes it possible for me to take my spreadsheets and database apps with me on my Palm, so I'm able to finish up projects even while I'm commuting, or at home.

These apps let me create and manage any number of spreadsheets on my PDA. I can also transfer Excel files created on my PC to my handheld, where I can view, edit, and save my work. Then, when I return to the office, I can download them back to my desktop.

Does this sound like something you could use? Here are my two favorite programs for bringing your database work with you on your Palm. They're both shareware, but I think you'll find that the added features are worth the price.

Mobile Access 2003 lets you export your spreadsheets to your PDA using an included desktop client. It also features an integrated synchronization function that automatically backs up your databases whenever you sync up your PC and your handheld. (Shareware/Palm)

MobileDB lets you create data lists using Excel, Access, or Filemaker. This one also comes with a PC desktop version in the download so you can easily edit and change your databases before you transfer the updated info to your Palm. (Shareware/Palm)

What do you think of these programs? What are your favorite PDA apps? TalkBack to me below!
