For the first time in three months, I actually look like I know a little bit about investing. You'd think I'd know my stuff since I'm the Editor of ZDNet Inter@ctive Investor. Well, in the it's a one-month race, and I typically lose. We give you $100,000 in play money and you have to buy stocks and turn it into big gains.

In June, I went with two optical networking stocks and won big. Tops in my state actually. That's a nice change from May when I used my play money to buy Microsoft and a few other clunkers and turned $100,000 into $77,000 in no time.

Now it's time for the July contest and I'm choosing my stocks wisely to build a little winning streak. I dare you to challenge me. Register, track your progress, check out the competition and see how you stack up against the ZDII staff.

If you're top dog at the end, you can win a digital camera. Second place brings home a Palm V. If you don't win, you can still bring home bragging rights and trading experience. We have daily players of the day, personal contests and state-by-state rankings. At the very least, you can say you topped that chump from ZDII.
