CDMA2000
A 3G evolution of the CDMA wireless mobile technology standard, CDMA2000 has four variants that carrier networks plan to deploy over time, each one faster than the next: 1xRTT, 1xEV-DO, 1xEV-DV, and 3xRTT. Only 3xRTT qualifies as "true" 3G, because it alone can really deliver broadband speed--thanks to 5MHz of bandwidth instead of the 1.25MHz employed by slower schemes.
